Alta Vista had our 1st Parent Work Day of the 2016/2017.
We had a great turn out!
There was aproximately 80 volunteers here last Saturday (8/27) on campus, including parents and students of all ages. Mr. Wilcox and Mr. Hopper worked with parents in trimming trees around the entire campus, and planting of flowers around the Family Support Center. A group with Mrs. Floyd painting of the Dolch Sight Words. Dr. Mitchell worked with a group that consisted of mostly students and additional parents that extracted 'goatheads' from around walkways, fields and playgrounds.
Wow, team effort really does matter, and we have evidence of that illustration right here at AVESD. Go Eagles!!!
