Next year the Governor and State Superintendent of Education have taken advantage of the Biden Administration's initiatives in Education as well as a host of their own ideas. With their mutual interests, the team has decided to make some changes to the delivery of services to student in light of the pandemic's effects.
California's initiative is to offer up to 9-hours of service to students during the 2022-2023 school year. Many districts are utilizing state funds set aside solely for this purpose. Of course, Alta Vista will also utilize state funds to provide these services. However, it is important to Alta Vista's governing board, administration, teachers, and support staff which offerings you and your students are interested in taking advantage of next year.
